Livre Armchair

Livre

Livre was born from the idea to blend together the desire for the concept of an Asian-inspired product with the actual perspective of GallottieRadice. The result of this is an armchair that could be define hybrid for the craftmanship applied to the solid wood base; the upper part is instead an enveloping armchair, that feels like a cocoon, very elegant in its shape in contrast with the base which is thick but at the same time tapered, interesting and very soft as a whole.

The intent is to offer a calm place to retreat within open shared environments.

Minimal Techno

Minimal Techno is a prototype armchair made from recycled solid steel and repurposed bamboo hardwood flooring. Japanese minimalism and the use of negative space guided the form. Only three materials are used, which keeps the armchair simple to reproduce.

Tie Chair

Tie

Tie is a wooden bench designed for two people to sit side by side. The seat and backrest are carved by hand from a solid block of wood, so no bent wood, cushions or springs are used. Traditional Japanese hand planes and knives shape the curves and keep the natural beauty of the wood visible. The curved backrest lets two people seated together rest close to one another. Tie suits dining, reading with the legs stretched out, or lying down in different positions. The current form was completed in 2020 in Tokyo, Japan.

The main material is oak wood in natural and white colors. Wooden sheets are layered and then cut into circular pieces. The compression springs are made of aluminum. All sizes follow standard human ergonomics, so the furniture saves space in compact homes.
