Bean Series 2

This table was designed by Bean Buro principle designers Kenny Kinugasa-Tsui and Lorene Faure. The project was inspired by the wiggly shapes of French Curves and the puzzle jigsaws, and serves as the central piece in an office conference room. The overall shape is full of wiggles, which is a dramatic departure from the traditional formal corporate conference table. The three parts of the table can be reconfigured in to different overall shapes to vary seating arrangements; the constant state of change creates a playful atmosphere for the creative office.

Twins

The Twins coffee table concept is simple. A hollow coffee table stores two full wooden seats inside. The right and left surfaces of the table, are actually lids that can be pulled out of the main body of the table in order to allow the extraction of the seats. The seats have foldable legs that have to be rotated so to get the chair in the right position. Once the chair, or both chairs are out, the lids go back at the table. When the chairs are out, the table also works as a huge storing compartment.

Umea

The Umea is a very sexy, visually lightweight and elegant sofa bed for up to three people seating and two people in sleeping position. Though the hardware is the classical click clack system, the real innovation of this comes from the sexy lines and contours that make this quite an appealing piece of furniture.

Curt deck chair

This deck chair is attractive in its simplicity. In combination with the environment it serve its purpose as a deck chair. To achive best stability, it needs to be leaned against walls or rails in a flat angle. The anti-slip coated stand provides safe grip on every surface. Even though it looks dangerous it provides comfort seating and relaxing in every occasion. The frame-part is manufactured in the sheltered workshop altra, made of local woods, such as ash and beech.

Carrousel

the tables "Carrousel" & "Cathedral" are the continuation of my story "Triangles in (E)motion". I distill various forms that can both serve as designs for tables, but also be processed into abstract geometric entities which function as visual art. I try to create, from my own set of values and forms, beauty in a tradition that is related to Arte Povera and Minimalism.The question whether my creations are to be perceived as utensils or visual art is basically beside the point.

Turf rug lounger

The Rug Lounger is a new concept in furniture consisting of a Rug and a Lounger which works in harmony with one another. The round shaped Rug creates the smallest possible private space and gives you comfort and a relaxing time. A small table can be set on the big dots on the dotted Rug which creates a private space. Using an artificial grass rug achieves a low cost design which is available for various scenes from indoor to outdoor.
