Double X

This project was made as a live architecture lesson because the balance and the stability of the whole come only when the last piece is installed. By using the traditionnal octagram's pattern from the European Mauresque geometric art, this table is looking to find the best shape for being both aesthetic and structural. And all of that without requiring any screw or glue. The final result reveals the octagram's pattern through the structure, and makes two X on the table, thus explaining the name.

Garuda

Garuda is the combination of ancient culture and modern technology. Its purpose is to spread out a spiritual and soulful energy through a symbol of fortune. This table is made of glass and metal. The main body of the table can be separated into two parts. One is the structure, which imitates the skeleton of birds. The other is the feather, which combines the traditional craft of “Origami” and application of laser cutting. The tiny, taut holes on the surface present the vividness and flight speed of the bird. White shows its haughty and standoffish outside. Red means the passionate inside.

FileBOX

Alternative designs can be composed by using different colors and textures on the drop down doors of the FileBOX file cabinet, which has been designed in a manner so that it can be used single or double sided. The different design of the FileBOX provides for both not losing storage areas and for ease of use from the top without the user bending over. All of the parts of the FileBOX can be packed and transported easily by placing one on top of the other and can be assembled in a practical manner at the place of use.

Borderline is at the same time bookend and tablet stand. Its name draws inspiration from the current socio-economic time: within the reading market there are mixtures of materials, media and technologies. It is a linear, minimal but multifunctional feature and it is formed by the simple bending of a steel plate. It is available in the natural steel version or colored with several colors. Its particular inclination allows reading in the most various situations: reading recipes or watching tutorial while cooking, reading while typing at your desk or storing books on your bedside table
