Golden Butterfly

The Golden Butterfly Chair is an original household product jointly developed by Professor Ko-Fei Chang and Wingstone Casa; it took up 6 months of time from the proposal confirmation to factory implementation with countless of adjustment and modifications during the process to finally end up with the Golden Butterfly Chair. The Golden Butterfly Chair, as its name implies, originated from butterflies in nature; dancing butterflies are graceful, and the form of their flying wings is wonderful.

Plastic Recurrence

Plastic Recurrence is a series of benches designed for a district town hall in Hong Kong, by using recycled household plastic waste from the same district. HIR studio recycled the plastic bottles in the riverside town, processed, and remolded them into new public benches, before bringing them back into the local town hall for everyone to enjoy. The series were made of only two typical modules assembled in varied lengths and rotations. Tactile textures and imperfect color of recycled plastic render each bench unique. What is taken from the community is used back in the community.

Balustrade

After street observation, designers of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University found out that people tend to lean on desks or handrails when they are tired. Inspired by human’s unconscious behavior, Balustrade Chair, an unconventional product, is designed for this temporary situation. Therefore, designers used a simpler way to realize this thought, while not putting much attention on comfort level.

Diagonal

The table Diagonal is a piece of furniture embodied with diversify possibility in its sleek form. The clean inter-cross stand structure is positioned in diagonal guideline. With the intended twisted angle, the Void/Solid dialogue would be initiated when people move around the table. The Diagonal tension could also be seen from above with tabletop veneer pattern, which also follow table’s invisible diagonal guideline beneath.

Ege

Ege is a series of kilims reflecting an admiration for the visual and emotional expressiveness of the sea surface, with its fluid movements, and hues of color reflections that create a relaxing effect on the human psyche. Taking its inspiration from the blue Aegean Sea, the collection reinterprets centuries old craft traditions of Anatolian kilim weaving with a modern, contemporary and sensual design approach. Handwoven by Anatolian weavers using 100% sheep wool, Ege collection aims to bring the Aegean spirit full of sea, wind, sand and nature to the interior space.

Flow

Flow Collection studies perspective of abstract brushstrokes. it is inspired by the elegance fragile yet forever glass medium. The process ensures that every vessel has unique color play that mimic the dance of abstract impression. Every vessel has their own breath that is a methaphor for a soul of a piece that makes it more than mere interior object.
