Abrete y Cierrate

The designer was inspired in the creation of the Abrete y Cierrate cabinet by the garlands and the limits between the interior and exterior, in how they contract and expand, changing shape through movement. With that in mind, he thought in a product that would allow to bring together aspects of technique, function, aesthetics and experimentation. This experience is generated with the contrasts of light and shadow that occurs as the day goes by. The textures emerge with moving lights and shadows, merging the interior and exterior, what is visible and what is not.

Iko

A levitating sphere, a focus capsule, a refuge for the senses. Not just a hanging chair, but a functional design object. A retreat in the middle of an open office. The form was chosen in such a way that the object can integrate well into the most diverse environments. After analysing the basic geometric bodies, the icosahedron was quickly found as one of the five Platonic solids (regular polygons). Hence the name: iko. Passerine

Passerine is the definition of a bird that perches, and the unique joinery of the backrest looks as if it is perched on metal branches. The approach to the chair design was for it to be sustainable and durable. This meant that materials, the system, and processes had to be thought through in that regard. And the result was a design that bears unassuming characteristics, with a bit of that modern charm. The materials and processes are durable and have a lower impact on the environment compared to other alternatives, with no excessive chemical treatments or unnecessary use of plastic.
