In fact this chair has been inspired by a beautiful teen girl, a beautiful, playful girl who is descent, elegant and yetffffff relaxed! with long toned arm and legs. this is a chair I designed with love, and it is all hand carved. The name of that girl is "Darya."

Marken Desk

The visually lightweight feeling of this elegant and yet strong desk takes us back to the scandinavian school of design. The awkward shape of the legs, the way they lean to the front almost like a lordly gesture of greeting, reminds us of the silouette of a noble man with his hat off greeting a lady. The desk welcomes us to use it. The shape of the drawers, like separate limbs of the desk, with their hanging sensation and a front personified look, scans the room like watchful eyes.

The cubic form of the product keeps it stable and balanced in all directions. Moreover the three way usage of the product in formal, informal and friendly etiquette is possible only by 90 degree turning of the chairs. This product has been designed in a way to be kept as light as possible (4kg) considering all aspects of its functionality. This aim has been reached by choosing light weight materials and hallow frames to keep the weight of the product as low as possible.

5x5

The 5x5 chair is a typical design project where the limitation is recognised as a challenge. The chair's seat and the back are made of xilith which is very difficult to be shaped. Xilith is the raw material that can be found 300 meters under the ground's surface and is comined with a coal. Currently the majority of the raw material is thrown away. From environmental point of view this material generates waste on the earth's surface. Therefore the idea about the chair design seemed to be very provocative and challenging.
