Butterfly

"Butterfly" is part of an exercise in exploration of metal processes. Inspired by Mexican Monarca Butterflies, which despite to the fragile appearance of its wings, is capable of traveling more than 4000 kilometers from Canada to the state of Michoacan in Mexico. Dining table and beyond

This table has the ability to adjust its surface to different shapes, materials, textures and colors. My idea of design was to uncover all interesting processes that take place in the pipe such as bubbling, smoke flow, fruit mosaic and the play of lights. I have achieved this by maximizing the glass proportion and mainly by uplifting the functional area to the eye level, instead of traditional shisha pipes where its almost hidden on the ground level. Using real fruit pieces inside the glass corpus for cocktails enhances the experience to the new level.
