Tie is a wooden bench designed for two people to sit side by side. The seat and backrest are carved by hand from a solid block of wood, so no bent wood, cushions or springs are used. Tie suits dining, reading with the legs stretched out, or lying down in different positions. The current form was completed in 2020 in Tokyo, Japan.

The parts are joined by a traditional double dovetail key structure, so no metal connectors are used. The seat can be taken apart by hand once the locking key is found. Flat packing reduces the transport volume.
