Bats'I Luch

This piece was born from the idea of incorporate pre hispanic iconography to a credenza, in this case, Mayan iconography. "Bats'I Luch" means; The basic, genuine brocade. The aim of Bats'i Luch, is to combine aesthetics with functionality, creating an object that is part of the space, an ornament that has one or more functions as it is this credenza, which has compartments for storing properly and comfortably, any electronic device that the user needs. One of the directives of Eidetica is to incorporate part of the culture and folklore of Mexico in the pieces they design.

Cork Stopper Table

The Cork Stopper Table is a DIY coffee table which is both beautiful and functional; demonstrating that you don’t need to sacrifice aesthetics for ease of use or assembly. Courtesy of the cork stopper and its deceptively simple use in construction, the building of this table requires only a couple of minutes and no need for glue, screws or other hardware. The combination of hand-crafted cork, high polished tempered glass and birch plywood achieves an elegant look; allowing the table to be a poetic piece of functional art that is easily constructed.

Stratum

The Stratum chair was born out of a desire to create a chair that expresses its materiality in a very organic fashion, while taking advantage of advanced CNC milling and fabrication technologies. Comprising of two interlocking parts, the chair can fold and reduce its overall volume by half. Sharp sinuous lines run along the edges and highlight the its functional features. The flowing striated pattern is revealed by carving strategically designed local and global geometries into laminated plywood. Terminating the chair at the ground with three legs creates a sense of delicate balance.

Minimal Bookshelf

The Minimal Bookshelf is a simple storage solution that incorporates the books it holds in its design and construction. The bookshelf features grooves cut into both ends of a shelf, which the user can slot books into to serve as bookends. If your book collection is too large to fit on one shelf, a second or third can be added, with the bookends doubling as pillars to support the shelves stacked on top.

Reflections

Reflections is from the design collection called Textures which was inspired by the landscapes of South America. The yarns were hand spun and designed to create a three dimensional texture on a flat woven surface. The contrasts of the tight loops combined with the hanging yarns created the unique pattern of the hand knotted silk rug.The surface echoes the boldness of the blue mountains and warm golden sunsets.

WS-51

The design started with an idea that slippers itself become a design rather than hidden-stored. With the inspiration from wave, pebble and island, slippers decorate the wave flow in the open condition. For the pursuit of easy and tidy way to store slippers, the method of hanging slippers on the rods was applied according to the research result. Due to separable design, it is easy to pack and store and people can participate in the design with changing the arrangement of maple rods and colorful slippers.
